Alrite lets do this from top to bottom. First things first the MJ tribute was pretty good if your comparing it to BET's poorly thrown together tribute. Everyone must admit Chris Brown would've done better, but i understand the situation. The host Russel Brand was funny at times but got annoying really quick. Me being a Kid CuDi fanatic I was hoping for a " Make Her Say" performance with Lady Ga Ga, not that sorry performance with Wale. Another big question mark is how did Eminem beat Hov for Hip Hop video of the year!?? Highlights for me would have to be Taylor Swift Performace, Beyonce Performance, Muse Performance, and this is a little embarrassing, but the New Moon trailer.lol. Okay now lets get down to business. Kanye West is my hero. All he did was say what everyone else was thinking. Sure snatching the mic from Taylor Swift was rude, but I feel it was rude for Taylor to act like she deserved that award. Kanye is a true fan, dont forget in the 2007 BET awards he actually gave his award to Outkast for Video of the Year. How do yall feel about the Ye situation? Was he in the rite? Or is he just plain disrepectful? The floor is open for all opinions about the show.

I actually was not thinking what Kanye was saying. I was thinking that Pink should have won that category. The nomination was not for best performer, best song of the year, best choreography, best dance sequence, etc. The nomination was Best Female Video or something of the sort. Beyonce is a superstar, no matter how annoying her bathing suit performances are becoming. There is no other MTV award or acknowledgment that is needed to solidfy her as a bonafide star!! No questions asked. However, like every great artist there will be those projects or performances that are not necessarily as great as the last or the best of the bunch and that should be ok. With that being said, there was nothing particularly creative or moving about the "Singles Ladies" video. Beyonce danced in a bathing suit, and that was it??? It doesn't change the fact that she is phenomenal and has won, and will continue to win, a many of awards in her career. We can ride for our own, as we should, but we should have some class and some basis when doing so, otherwise we just diminish our credibility when a ride out is necessary.
OMG!!!! Kanye is the man!!! He was sooooo right. Even though from the start I'm a Beyonce fan... ain't no way Taylor Swift should have beat Beyonce. Beyonce video was on point!!! When you got people all over the place copying your moves and making parodies of it, you know you have the best video. MTV is a joke anyway. The real people that should of won didn't and that was soooo wrong!!
ARD . i def think Kanye was super dead wrong. Yes Taylor Swift is a small artist compared to betonce but she prolly works just as hard in her own way. their is a time and a place for every thing and KANYE must have forgot that. I know his mother would not have approved of what he did. he basically said lil SWIFT was trash COMpared to BEYONCE. yea BE is good and from what i hear gives a really good concert ... BUT i will say the whole M&M outfit routine is gettin kinda corny.

Okay. However right he may have been there is a time and place to do things, and to state your opinions and when a young upcoming female country music star has just one her first VMA, that is NOT the time at ALL to jump out and state your opinions. Whether he needed to state it at all is even questionable. Somethings are left unsaid, especially when everyone already knows who should have won. Let her have her glory, because that's probably the only one she will get, and we all know Beyonce wins plenty of awards, and has glory 24/7.
I mean hey i'm a huge Kanye fan but, he was way out of line. You got your own opinion so keep it to yourself. You don't gotta disrespect someone like that in order to prove a point. Not like he proved anything anyways except that he's a total asshole. And Taylor Swift didn't feel like she deserved it, she said she was surprised.
Me personally, I was thinking the same thing Kanye said. But he could have handled the situation much better. He did not have to go up on the stage and take the microphone out of her hands to state his opinion. There is a time and place for everything and that was far from the right time. That was plain disrespectful towards Taylor and all of her fans.

I just read all these comments. My opinion is Taylor deserved that award. Her songs are great. Not just "Love Story" or "You Belong With Me". She has many others. Beyonce is great too but seriously she's starting to bore me. Those outfits especially. But all in all Kanye needed to keep that to himself and I hope that the next MTV Awards someone does the same to him. I wish Taylor would have said something but that just shows she's a much better person then him. And Lady Gaga.... The performance was great. But the blood and bloodshot eye now THAT was SCARY.
Ok Lady Gaga was sooo scary. Kanye had a point but he didn't have to put Taylor on blast that was too far. My girl Beyonce was a true lady cause she allowed Taylor to shine.
