Today Kid CuDi's album dropped. So ive been listening to this guy for little while now and I was left with one question before the album came out. Will he ever reach the success of Day & Night again? Dont get me wrong Make Her Say is decent, but the tracks success is definately fueled by the features of Kanye and Common. So here's the rundown, the album is definitely a very personal album. Tracks such as Soundtrack 2 My Life & Mr. Solodolo really speak volumes about the personal life and struggle of the rapper. I must say the album is kind of dark but tracks such as Pursuit of Happiness & Up Up and Away have a certain upbeat vibe to it. Think of this album as an 808's but much better. I say this because the instruments of this album is much more crisp and the lyrics seem to be more thought out. Don't look for this album to be flooded with big name features or producers. This album is kept in the family sort of speak, meaning producers such as Kanye West, Plain Pat, Emile, and Ratatat. O yea and just a little side note this album not meant to be in played clubs, this is strictly an ipod banger. I'm recommending this album to anyone who wants to hear a change of pace in Hip-Hop. In summary Man on The Moon: End of Day is a must buy. Dont sleep on this one.
