Wher'd My Life Go ???

Okay I'm bout to go in. With popularity of social networking such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Skype, Blogger, Aim, etc. have we lost the art of natural conversation? What I mean honestly I cant remember the last time I had long conversation on the phone with someone. I mean so much has changed you basically meet and get to know people through a computer monitor, and it's like the biggest surprise when you meet them face to face. Even in the case of texting. I hate it. I'll text someone a question and they'll give me back a lame one word answer. It makes me wonder if Im actually talkin to this person are they really gonna answer me with one word. Basically I feel as though we rely too heavily on facebook and myspace to meet people, to the point people don't even know how to have a conversation. And also it seems like people spend more time talkin to their friends on Aim then they do calling them. I dont wanna be a hypocrite because im a blogger and Im constanly on Facebook, but call me old fashioned but I miss talkin to people to their face.lol.

If you care about this little ramble I just made, please give you're input on how you feel?

I completely understand what you mean. Even though I'm really not into the whole facebook, myspace, making my own blog thing, I do enjoying texting a whole whole whole lot. It seems so much better to just text someone than to talk to them. I have tried to talk more on the phone rather than texting though cause I feel like you can really get the other persons reaction to the conversation and they can get yours and nothing can be taking out of context and less things will be confusing... Texting can be confusing sometimes. But if its just a question or just saying whats up, texting is so wonderful. Deep conversations are not for texting. I learned that from experience.

I hate when that happens! The worst thing about text is that at any moment the conversation can just end on one word. That and you never hear the tone of voice of the person your talking to. No sense of control!
